Tom Cruise has sold his Colorado estate for $39.5 million. He was asking for a sale – but who wouldn’t want to live in a Mission Impossible house. Only two months after putting his Colorado estate up for sale for $39.5 million, famed actor Tom Cruise has sold the 320-acre property for its initial price.
The property’s curious Wall Street Journal first reported the news of the sale earlier this month. Agent Dan Dockray, of LIV Sotheby’s International Realty, informed the newspaper that Tom Cruise’s Colorado property went under contract in the first week on the market.
The kitchen includes a large island with beautiful paneling. The March debut of the listing marked the first time the home was publicly available for sale. In 2014, Tom Cruise – known for his roles in “Mission Impossible” and “Vanilla Sky” among many other films – had hired a broker to privately market the property for a much higher price tag of $59 million.
Apparently, the film star spent several years designing the house, made of stone and cedar touches, which was finished in 1994. The 10,000-square-foot house includes seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms and is built in the mountains for privacy. It is accessed via a one-mile driveway and is located behind a gate.
The main house measures nearly 10,000 square feet – and features a chef’s kitchen, wood-beamed ceilings, and oversized windows overlooking the mountains. Other impressive features include several fireplaces, a gymnasium, a three-car garage and outdoor lounge areas. The lower floor also has a guest area with three bedrooms.
